Off the grid luxury
01
Designed on a single level in an "L" shape, the house aims to open up to the body of water and take advantage of jungle views with a north orientation. The tropical environment takes center stage, and the main hallway that connects the entire house also functions as a large terrace, reminiscent of Mexican haciendas and country houses, where such spaces typically serve a dual purpose: connecting and serving as a living area.
Stunning spaces
02
Being a single-story residence allows for high ceilings, with the intention of enjoying cooler interior spaces and expansive views of the outdoors. The house is 100% self-sufficient, generating its own energy with a system of batteries and solar panels; it treats wastewater through a network of wetlands and harnesses site water through filtration and softening equipment. Likewise, 77% of the property's surface has been preserved with existing trees and vegetation.

Local construction solutions and finishes such as limestone and chukum were used for the project; however, wood is the primary element employed. Just as steel and concrete were the construction materials of the 20th century, the 21st century belongs to wood, as it is a renewable resource, lightweight, with a lower carbon footprint, and physical properties that make it ideal for withstanding the region's climatic conditions.
